A Personalized Workbook to Help You Deepen, Reflect On, and Apply Whole-Brain Principles.
Daniel J. Siegel and Tina Payne Bryson speak to audiences all over the world about their immensely popular best-sellers, The Whole-Brain Child and No-Drama Discipline. The message Dan and Tina continually receive from their audiences, whether live or virtual, is that people are hungry for the opportunity to take the Whole-Brain ideas and go deeper with them. Thanks to this new workbook, they now can.
The Whole-Brain Child Workbook has a unique, interactive approach that allows readers not only to think more deeply about how the ideas fit their own parenting approach, but also develop specific and practical ways to implement the concepts—and bring them to life for themselves and for their children.
Dozens of clear, practical and age-specific exercises and activities.
Applications for clinicians, parents, educators, grandparents and care-givers!

We have struggled with boy-girl twins who have gone through some rough patches. Like for example our preschool calling us in (TODAY!) for a parent teacher conference and letting us know that our kids were among the most difficult in the grade. Our kids are not easy / typical and the offhand advice of friends and family were not working for us. The school recommended this book and it has been transformative for us and for our kids. Highly recommended.

Bought this to teach parenting skills to my therapy clients, but I’ve enjoyed working through it myself. It is a great way to think about all your interpersonal relationships—not just parent-child.
Mum of 3 –
The practical workbook reinforces the book and helps me to problem solve, self reflect and keep trying as I gain more confidence in my interactions with my 3 girls. Trying to stay conscious, respectful and connected as a parent can be hard and in order not to stuff I will do nothing so as not to screw up. This workbook gives me the confidence that I am on the right track.

Probably the best we’ve tried for our foster children and child with ADHD. Explains how the brain works and gives practical parentinf advice for the toughest times.

This was recommended to us and it is great! It allows parents to really understand the development of young minds. This book is so beneficial for parents and kids alike.

This is so helpful. It forces me to really dig deep and put things into words, into an order which let’s me be more mindful and gives me more resources to pull from in the stressful moments. I feel that my daughter’s behavior has improved from the change in my approach and she is able to calm herself faster and easier, which relieves my stress and improves our relationship overall. I paired this Brene Brown Gifts of imperfect parenting class, but that is no longer available for purchase.

I’ve been able to use this in my practice with young mother’s that struggle with parenting. This has great ideas.

This is so great because I’m working to understand my child and also my own strategy (or lack of strategy) as a mother. I’m a single mom and I grew up with distant parents so I need all the help I can get. This book has already provided me with the opportunity to bend down at my child’s level (instead of tower over her) and be more patient with my 3 yo. The writing in it takes some time but it’s worth it. It’s made a lasting impression on me and I’m only 20 pages in!

The workbook doesn’t add anything extra to the Whole-Brain Child. Information is merely repeated from the excellent book. Don’t bother.

I highly recommend reading some of the authors’ publications such as “No Drama Discipline” and “The Whole Brain Child” in order to fully appreciate the exercises and worksheets in this workbook. I am a therapist and I know that I will have to adapt some of the activities in the book so that some of my parent/clients will be able to grasp the concepts & implement them w/ their kids. This is a great addition to my therapeutic library.

Great book for nurturing creativity and success at an early age. I have three children who are natural artists like their Father and we really want to help them reach their full potential. This workbook along with the main book is a good book to have in your collection. My oldest son has many homework struggles and there is practical advice and activities for making real change in this area and many other areas. The cartoons and graphs make the workbook more entertaining and functional. This a good tool for any parent. Books like this are important, but don’t forget to make nutrition the cornerstone of everything. Children need DHA from fish oils and healthy food. I hope this review helps.

This is a great companion to have with The Whole Brain Child book. The activities are really matched up well with the book chapters and provide a practical focus for parents and practitioners. You need to have the book to gain the maximum benefit from the workbook. Excellent material for parents, carers and therapists.

Good morning! I’m trying to provide the seller with information about the product. Pages 44-45 did not print properly — they are essentially white pages with a hint of ink which an eagle eye can discern. Pages 36-37 are also defective, half of each page is printed very lightly but can be “figured out” by a motivated reader.
I don’t want to return this book at the moment because I am using it to teach a parenting class at a nonprofit community center. A replacement would be ideal if you choose to follow up.
All good wishes,
Ellen

this is the easiest book related to brain/neuroscience I’ve ever read. It’s scientific based and easy to understand and fun to read. it’s really helpful for parents who struggle with “academic” articles.
